Come visit us at the 102nd Annual Transportation Research Board in Washington D.C.
Are you interested in transportation improvements, innovations and exploring new transformational technologies?
The Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting is the largest global gathering of transportation professionals and researchers and will be held January 8-12, 2023 in Washington D.C.
The event is expected to attract thousands of transportation professionals from around the world.
We look forward to welcoming you at this year’s TRB, at booth no. 1017.
We are passionate about testing pavement! Let us tell you all about our different Friction Testers
Determining and maintaining acceptable pavement friction conditions is highly important to airports and road authorities. Low friction values may lead to fatal accidents that pavement engineers work diligently to avoid. Dynatest manufactures both locked wheel and slips friction units for use on airports and roads at both project and network levels.
The Runway Friction Tester (RFT) is an accurate and repeatable, self-contained continuous friction measuring equipment (CFME) that provides coefficients of friction (Mu) on airport runways. Read more about RTF here.
The Highway Friction Tester (HFT) is an accurate and repeatable, self-contained continuous measuring device that provides self-wetted coefficients of friction on highway pavements. Read more about HFT here.
The Pavement Friction Tester (PFT) measures fully locked wheel and peak friction on paved surfaces. It is designed for maintenance testing to evaluate changes or deterioration in pavement friction. REad more about PFT here.
The Tire Traction Tester (TTT) measures the peak friction characteristics on paved surfaces and it is used for tire testing to evaluate the dry or self-wetted friction characteristics of tires. Read more about TTT here.
Let us tell you about the unique features of the Dynatest Road Surface Profilers
A Road surface Profiler (RSP) measures road surface characteristics and computes various indices in real-time. The RSP has a unique “stop and go” functionality enabling the equipment to operate in an efficient manner in urban areas, at traffic lights, at stop signs, junctions, and roundabouts, making it an ideal tool for data collection on both urban and rural networks. This function makes it possible to drive under normal circumstances and still avoid a lot of work to cut and connect the measuring data afterward. The RSP is the most accurate, dependable, and long-term calibration stability of any profilers on the market. Dynatest manufactures two RSP models, the Mark lll and the Mark lV.
The RSP Mk III is designed to provide advanced, automated, high-quality pavement roughness and transverse profile measurements. It is a fully upgradeable system offering up to 21 lasers which makes it ideal for airports and highways.
Read more about the RSP Mk III here.
The RSP-IV is the portable version easily attached to any vehicle with the capability to attach 1 or 2 lasers. The RSP-IV is extremely versatile, easily mountable on almost any vehicle, for testing cycle paths determining the Cycle Profile Index (CPI) on highways IRI and RN, and airports to determine the BBI.
