Next step mapping scope 3 Emissions

Dynatest will be focusing on mapping scope 3 emissions

Dynatest cares about the environment and the impact that we have on this planet! We will, as a part of Eltronic Group, be focusing on mapping scope 3 – emissions.

Earlier this year, Eltronic Group released the second sustainability report.

Looking alone at all Eltronic Group’s companies’ emissions, we are still in the phase of collecting reliable data and setting shared goals.

Scope 3 emission:
Mapping scope 3 emissions is a crucial step toward decarbonization. Scope 3 emissions are also known as ‘value chain’ emissions.

According to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol scope, 3 emissions are generated upstream (by suppliers) and downstream (by customers) in a company’s value chain. These cover approximately two-thirds of the typical company’s carbon footprint.

The challenge we face is huge and it is a process to pursue decarbonization effectively.

At Eltronic Group, we have now initiated the process and we are on our way.

In total, nine subsidiaries are part of Eltronic Group, and all must collect data that makes it possible to map the entire group’s carbon emissions.

We are already documenting our scope 1 and 2 emissions, which are those emissions that are owned or controlled by Eltronic Group or our companies.

Over the next years, we will be mapping scope 3 emissions. This will enable us to set ambitious and realistic targets for emission reductions when aiming toward the long-term goal of net zero by 2050 at the latest.

In our latest sustainability report, we elaborate on where we are now, and how we plan to move forward.
